We are happy to announce the 2017 edition of our annual Nextcloud Conference, an exciting event where Nextclouders all over the world get together in real life and help plan and contribute to the future of our technology!
TU Berlin has kindly invited to host us again, and will get together with our community from August 22 to 29. All days will be fully dedicated to Getting Stuff Done, while the 26th and 27th reserved for talks, workshops and keynotes. You can already register, subscribe to our Conference Newsletter and follow what’s going on on our forums. We will soon open our call for papers and announce some exciting keynote speakers.
Continuing a great tradition at the TU Berlin
We have been invited once again to gather for the Nextcloud Conference at the familiar Technische Universität Berlin in the «Institut für Mathematik« building, whose main entrance is at Strasse des 17. Juni 136, 10623 Berlin.
Together with this university and others like DEIC we’d like to continue to push forward technologies and innovations like Federated Cloud Sharing and more.

Program
Our philosophy is a get-stuff-done one and it will be applied to this event as well, so make sure to bring your laptops, as we’ll do what we do on github every day: discuss how to make Nextcloud better and then write code to implement what we come up with!
Focus will be on coding, design, front end work and testing. Obviously the social side of things is important as well, so there will be a chance for a beer, bratwurst* and good conversation.
We want this to be an event where everybody building on and with Nextcloud is invited, that includes partners and friends working on things like Collabora Online Office, Spreed.ME, WD Labs/Raspberry Pi boxes, our friends at GÉANT and OpenCloudMesh, large customers and everybody else who likes to help push private cloud technology forward.
* of course we will provide plenty of non-alcoholic, non-meaty alternatives
Participation
To make this a real community event, we’d like to invite you to participate! We will organize and plan the event on our forums so you can get involved beforehand. You can already register for the event so feel free to do so and save the date in your ‘summer fun calendar’!
If you plan on joining us, you should subscribe to our Conference Newsletter so that you’ll be notified when we announce keynote speakers, the opening of the call for papers, practical information and more.
The Nextcloud company can provide some travel support for contributors who need it, just ask any of the employees.
