What to expect at the Nextcloud Conference 2020? To nobody’s surprise, it will be quite different than other years… 👽 We know hanging out together in the lounge will be sorely missed by many but for those of you who have not been able to participate in person before, we hope it will be much easier to interact with others and be a part of the event this year!
Program
We have created an exciting program!
During Saturday and Sunday, we open at 10AM Berlin time with an exciting keynote. On the first day, we then do a panel where the community gets to ask questions about our announcements. Yes, there will be exciting things coming out 🤩
After the keynote we will discuss the announcements, taking online 🛰 audience questions. Following lunch, we will cover the main Nextcloud apps and what happened over the last year in terms of features and improvements. We also cover compliance, security and we have speakers discussing development and community building. We will close the day with a workshop.
Sunday, Martin Dougiamas from Moodle will open the day with a keynote about the importance of open technology in education. Following his talk, we have a number of Nextcloud partners discuss their collaboration, from IONOS to ONLYOFFICE, Collabora and our Outlook integration team from Sendent.
Some of our speakers
We then move to more technical topics, covering a variety of Nextcloud apps, Javascript API’s, database scalability from the experts at Severalnines and much more.
Do not miss the talks on more philosophical subjects like public money/public code, Intelectual Property in open source, and of course the technical talks and workshops that we follow up with. If you’re maintaining a Nextcloud app or want to start one, the Nextcloud Conference will provide you a lot of information you’ll need.
You can find our program live on eventyay now, check it out!
Everyone who registered will get to join our conference chat where you can debate and ask questions that will be asked of the speakers after the keynote sessions. We do the same after every other talk as well, so this is your chance to ask the Nextcloud team everything you want to ask!
There is still time to register, of course, so you won’t miss it.

When cables are cut, sanctions are put in place or privacy legislation prohibits the use of the service your entire organization depends on, what can you do? Amidst geo-political changes, organizations face dependencies on large, centralized communication platforms. A major example of this is the SaaS-only communication platform Microsoft Teams. It is the only solution […]
